Nationwide Checkpoint Field Verification – Commercial Service Airports, Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

Teaming with a prime contractor, Woods • Peacock performed structural evaluations of airport security checkpoints at over seventy (70) commercial service airports across the eastern United States. The evaluations were performed to determine the ability of the existing structures to accommodate loads from proposed emerging security screening equipment.

After review of existing drawings, site conditions, and equipment requirements, the existing structures were evaluated for the final location of equipment at all security screening locations. In addition, recommendations for installation travel paths were provided, which accounted for equipment clearances and structural capacities along the routes.
