VA Capital Region Readiness Center

VA Capital Region Readiness Center (CRRC) – Martinsburg, WV

This design/build project consisted of a one-story readiness center including a data center for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The structure is composed of site-cast, reinforced, tilt-up concrete walls around the perimeter of the building which required close coordination with the general contractor and the tilt-up panel contractor.  Structural steel beams, joists, and columns frame the interior and create large open areas.  Concrete strip and spread footings support the superstructure.

A continuous corridor with a high ceiling and clerestory windows runs the entire length of the building separating the data storage spaces from administration spaces.
