Woods • Peacock is looking for a talented person interested in being part of a small structural engineering firm. Opportunity to be the voice and face of Woods • Peacock for the public calling our office or entering our lobby. Work directly with management to maintain the behind-the-scenes tasks to allow the company to thrive.
Position:
- Part-Time Office Administrator
- 20 hours per week
Location:
- Alexandria, VA
- In Office
Responsibilities:
- Receive, log, and pay vendor invoices through our accounting software (Ajera)
- Prepare accounts payable (through bank EFT system)
- Receive, open, log, and file and/or send USPS mail and FedEx packages
- Prepare and send client/project invoices
- Track and order/purchase office supplies
- Update personnel records
- Assist with and plan company events
- Prepare on-boarding documents
- Prepare insurance applications and maintain insurance records
- Answer phone and front lobby door
- Update and/or edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents
- Maintain Woods • Peacock custom Microsoft Word templates
- Replenish supplies
Required Qualifications:
- Able to work freely in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
- Degree Requirements:
- 2-year degree in business or High School advanced accounting courses
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Software Experience:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
Required Skills:
- Ability to learn accounting software Deltek Ajera
- Ability to learn how to use office equipment and machines
